You are cordially invited to join us at APNOMS 2002 in Jeju Island, Korea. This is the 6th in the series, following the successful APNOMS¡¯97 & APNOMS¡¯99 in Korea, APNOMS¡¯98 & APNOMS¡¯99 in Japan, and APNOMS 2001 in Sydney, Australia. APNOSM 2002 is building on the success of previous APNOMS, the premier technical symposium in the area of network operations and management in the Asia-Pacific region, jointly sponsored by KICS KNOM (Korea) and IEICE TM (Japan), and supported by IEEE CNOM, IEEE APB and TeleManagement Forum.

APNOMS 2002 will provide a valuable opportunity to discuss with distinguished experts from all over the world, especially from the Asia-Pacific region, showing the latest network and service management technologies and solutions. In the spirit of this year's theme, "Integrated Management for Telecommunication Solutions - Process, OSS and Technology", we will be focusing on the major management issues for the emerging telecommunications solutions, especially on their processes, OSSs and technologies.

At APNOMS 2002, there will be four international keynote speakers from Japan, USA, Canada and Korea, who will provide their visions and insights into new management paradigms and interactive information services over the net.  In the distinguished experts panel, distinguished experts from around the world will provide their perspectives and discuss the challenges in the new era.  The special session will address the technology and standardization trends of management solutions from all over the world, particularly focusing the Asia-Pacific region. Technical sessions will have quality presentations on the above topics, relevant to both industry and academia. The symposium will also offer six tutorials by experts on current hot topics. We will also have exhibitions of latest solution products and systems from vendors, operators and research organizations.

APNOMS 2002 is being held in Jeju, Korea, a land of a completely different character, recognized as the best preserved and most beautiful area in the nation. Jeju Island is the Korea's most popular tourist resort as well as its most favored honeymoon destination. Known as "Little Hawaii in Asia" for its volcanic landscape, picturesque subtropical scenery, sandy beaches, waterfalls and hiking trails, it is one of the world's top 10 tourist attractions with over 4 million visitors a year.
