The 7th Asia-Pacific Network Operations and Management Symposium (APNOMS 2003) will be held in Fukuoka city of Kyushu, Japan from October 1 to 3, 2003. The theme of APNOMS 2003 is " Managing Pervasive Computing and Ubiquitous Communications ". With the rapid progress in the information networking technologies supported by broadband networks, solutions for network/service operations and management play key roles for establishing our e-World environments. APNOMS 2003 will provide excellent opportunities for researchers, engineers, network planners, service providers and network operators in telecommunications to learn and share ideas, views, technologies and experiences on network/service operations and management.

Fukuoka is a one of largest cities in Japan. Fukuoka is located in Kyushu Island, and Fukuoka has been a gateway to Korean Peninsula. Culture coming from Korean Peninsula through Fukuoka made large impact on the history of Japan. Fukuoka is also famous for Dazaifu Tenmangu, a shrine for a god of learning. Fukuoka is developing a one of great city in Asian cultural and economic area.

By Air:

Narita International Airport is the largest airport in Japan. Three flights to Fukuoka Airport a day.

Another choice is Kansai International Airport. Six flights to Fukuoka Airport a day.

Non-stop flights from Seoul, Busan, Taipei, and other Asian cities come to Fukuoka International Airport

Fukuoka airport is situated near the center of Fukuoka city. A subway from Fukuoka Airport Station to Hakata Station (6 min.), and a bus (No. 11, 19, 47, and 48) from ¡°Fukuoka Center biru-mae¡± But stop E to ¡°Fukuoka Kokusai Kaijou, Sun palace-mae¡± (13 min.).

 

By Sea:

You can also get to Fukuoka by sea. It takes less than three hours from Busan to Fukuoka by a jet foil. Seven minutes walk to the hall from the Fukuoka Center Pier..

 

From Fukuoka Station (Nishitetsu Railway)/ Tenjin Station (Subway):

A bus (No. 55, 151, 152, and 209) from ¡°Soraria State-mae¡± Bus Stop 2A to ¡°Fukuoka Kokusai Kaijou, Sun palace-mae¡± (8 min.).
