Cisco systems K.K.: XML-based OSS for Cisco IOS-XR

We introduce Cisco’s brand new, XML-based OSS concept and implementation which supports Cisco’s new OS architecture, “IOS-XR”.

They make the management of networks / appliances simple, flexible, reliable, portable, extensible and cost-effective in comparison with the typical legacy approaches diverted from other primary purposes. For example, SNMP is mainly developed for activity monitoring and has only poor capability of configuration management. So, CLI emulation or similar really primitive operations are still alive.

- HP OpenView Service Activation Solution

HP OpenView Service Activator defines, organizes, and automates the many configuration tasks for servers, software, storage, network devices, and the HP OpenView applications that manage services.

- MPLS Path Management System

MPLS Path Management System offers collectively even from provisioning which simplifies network design and setup to obstacle surveillance and a fee collection system. This solution will be the bundled solution with HP OpenView Network Management System.

                           iReMS : integrated Repeater Management System

- MOSS 2005

MOSS is a mobile solution system that carries out mobile office functions and fileld force automation functions for supporting field operations. MOSS consists of GIS, WEB and PDA client. GIS client acts on a board on field operations and WEB client a portal site for field operators.

PDA client performs various supporting and managing function on field operations. MOSS server acts on mobile server and mobile gateway. The most important function of MOSS is work management function. Field operators input their work results through more than 2,200 work codes pre-defined. So MOSS server stores, measures the data and assess their work results.

- iReMS

Mobile telecommunication service providers have implemented lots of the base stations and the repeaters to enhance the quality of the mobile services. KTF has operated iReMS for managing lots of CDMA/W-CDMA repeaters since 2000. iReMS offers the integrated operation environment to manage various and heterogeneous equipments by using SMS, PDA and inband connection. And iReMS can analyze the performance trend and the status of the repeaters. iReMS is very powerful system as total management solution of various repeaters for wireless engineers.
