The 9th Asia-Pacific Network Operations and Management Symposium (APNOMS 2006) will be held in Busan Korea
from September 27 to 29, 2006. The theme of APNOMS 2006 is ¡°Management of Convergence Networks and Services.¡±
Recently, various convergences in wired and wireless networks, and convergence of telecommunications and
broadcastings are taking place for ubiquitous multimedia service provisioning. APNOMS 2006 will provide excellent
opportunities for researchers, engineers, network planners, service providers and network operators in
telecommunications to learn and share ideas, views, technologies and experiences on network/service operations
and management.
Busan is the second biggest city and the number 1 trading port in Korea, and the recent APEC (Asia-Pacific
Economic Cooperation) had been hosted. You can easily reach there by frequent direct flight from major cities in
Japan or via Incheon International Airport from most international major cities. As a port city, Busan has numerous
culturally attractive tourism resources, including the temple (e.g., Tongdosa) as a national treasure, characteristic
and distinctive enough not to be found in any other city in the world. Its scenic coastal areas and clean sandy
beaches located near the symposium venue will add joyous memories to those who visit.
