Instructions to authors for Technical Session and Short Paper
Session
The authors of papers accepted for Technical Session and Short Paper Session
should proceed following procedures.
1. Early-bird Registration (DEADLINE: July 22,
2006)
In order to be included in the APNOMS 2006 proceedings of technical session
and short paper session which will be published in Springer Lecture Notes in
Computer Science (LNCS) series proceedings, at least one registration per
paper must be registered by July 22, 2006 at the
Full rate (including student presenter). Please check the APNOMS 2006 web page
(http://www.apnoms.org/2006/) for the
detailed registration information.
NOTE: Student presenters also have to register as FULL registration.
2. Camera Ready Paper Submission (DEADLINE: July 22, 2006)
The paper must be prepared carefully according to the Information for LNCS
Authors (http://www.springer.com/east/home/computer/lncs?SGWID=5-164-7-72376-0).
The page limit of your paper is ten (10) pages maximum and
four(4) pages maximum for Technical Session and
Short Paper Session respectively.
Special note
- Although the use of LaTeX is recommended
by Springer, we recommend to use MS Word with the template sv-lncs.dot.
- If you use colored figures, you should make sure that they are also
legible in black and white, since all figures will be printed in black and
white.
- The characters in figures should be large enough to be legible well.
- Springer will send the final pdf files to the contact authors, asking them
to check their papers. For this contact address, we let the Springer know of
your correspondence authors' e-mail address that you registered to
JEMS. If you want to change the contact address, please let TPC
Co-chairs know the new address.
- The deadline is firm-fixed. If you fail to prepare any single
deliverable with complete form within the deadline, your paper will not be
published
in the APNOMS2006 proceedings.
- In the Copyright forms, please specify "APNOMS2006" in
"TitleoftheBook/Volume/Conference:" and " Young-Tak Kim, Makoto Takaqno"
in VolumeEditor(s):."
Deliverables
Here are what we require from you:
- Source file (either in a) MS-Word RTF file, or b) LaTex files with all
associated style files and EPS files for all figures). All source file
name should be #####.***, where ##### is the paper number in JEMS and *** is
the appropriate extension.
- Final PDF file for reference. The file name should be
#####.pdf, where ##### is the paper number in JEMS.
- Completed copyright forms (one per paper, signed by one author on behalf
of all the authors of that paper). Please download the Copyright
Form from here,
complete it, and scan it into PDF file. The file name should be
#####copyright.pdf, where ##### is the paper number in JEMS.
- Anything else you would particularly like to draw our attention
to.
Please compress all deliverables with zip and send it by the e-mail to
both APNOMS 2006 TPC Co-Chairs by July 22, 2006. Please specify your
"Registration no." of APNOMS2006 which is provided by the
APNOMS2006 online registration system in the body of the e-mail. The addresses
are shown below. The file name should be #####.zip, where ##### is the
paper number in JEMS.
Common Problems
Here are common problems that many author have made:
- Some authors did not use specified style file(If you use MS-word (or tex),
please use sv-lncs.dot (or llncs.cls).
- Some authors use square brackets such as [1],[2],[3] in reference section.
Please specify only sequence number, such as 1,2,3.
- Some authors abstracts are too long. They should be at least 70 and at most 150 words.
- Some authors include page number and running head, which are not required.
Do not include page number and running
head.
3. Other information
As Volume Editors of LNCS, TPC Co-Chairs strongly advise you to send your
deliverables as soon as possible, without waiting for the deadline, so as to
check and correct your contribution if necessary.

hardcopy slides (preferrably in color) and use them in
