E1. KT: KT NMS [all-in-One]

Booth number: 1

22 Legacy NMSs (17 Wireds and 5 Wirelesses) have been integrated into a single system, KT NMS [all-in-One]. One operator can look into any element in the network, from the user device to the topmost super switch. Over 35,000 tables spread over various systems were merged into a single big DB. Over 3,000 menu pages have been improved using HTML5 technology. In order to embrace all of this complex and individual components, the architecture consists of five subsystems - gateway, operation, surveillance, analysis & engineering and portal.

It provides simplicity. Since it provides a unified menu structure, the way of accessing to the individual menu functions is very intuitive. This solution is also very smart, since the operators can access using various smart devices at any time. And it is very strong, since it provides fast and accurate end-to-end analysis methods. Today, the structure of networks becomes more and more complicated and enormous, so the NMS does. KT NMS [all-in-one] has successfully integrated all the complex NMSs into a simple and effective architecture. KT NMS solution will serve more than 6,000 operators in KT and cover 400,000 network equipments. We are expecting 30% reduction of CAPEX and OPEX in KT’s network management cost by introducing this solution.

E2. KT: BEMS (Building Energy Management System)

Booth number: 2

BEMS supports highly efficient building energy operation by real-time usage monitoring and analyzing the accumulated data in the buildings. In addition, it could be a user oriented energy management system through the real-time DR(Demand Response) combined with Smart Grid. [KT Strengths and Features]

• Real time energy usage monitoring: minimizing energy consumption by reducing the unnecessary usage through the real-time energy usage monitoring

• Energy usage analysis: the past energy usage pattern analysis, energy usage monitoring according to types and purposes, optimized energy plan setup for each building

• Intelligent Control: efficient energy control such as turn-off the light and heat/cooling system for vacant rooms [Benefits]

• Efficient management of facility operations and OPEX saving by saving energy

• Optimized facility management between energy saving and facility performance maintenance

• Targeting for 10% energy cost saving

E3. Chunghwa Telecom: A Software Tool of Proactive Detecting, Quarantining, and Terminating Resource Leakage in Java EE Application Environments

Booth number: 3

.

This software monitors Java applications in real-time. Every improper use of resource will be detected, isolated, and terminated accordingly. The study focuses on abnormal memory leakage of the execution process level.

This demonstration uses an order-handling Java application environment and simulates resource leakage scenarios invoked by a specific abnormal executing process. The system administrators can then choose the quarantine function to isolate the abnormal process; or choose the terminate function to end the abnormal process and release the resources it occupied.

E4.KAIST-CDNi Consortium: Contents Delivery Networks Interconnection (CDNi)

Booth number: 4

This solution demonstrates newly emerging standard based interconnection scenarios among CDN service providers. The CDN service providers participated in the demo include KT, SKT, LGU+, Solbox, ETRI, and KAIST. The main use case is to redirect end-user’s content request into the most appropriate CDN provider so that the quality of content delivery can be guaranteed. Since the CDN interconnection standards are still under development, it is the first demonstration in this context. CDNi standard consists of 4 interfaces: control, request routing, metadata, and logging. The solution shows the functionality of the request routing interface among them.

E5. NICT: Wide-area Sensor Network Platform on Virtual Wireless Access Point

Booth number: 5

We have been developing technologies to construct wide-area sensor network that connects distributed wireless sensor networks to enable low-cost and wide-area sensing coverage. Especially we focus on the technologies to construct flexible wide-area sensor network using distributed architecture that does not require centralized server.

In this exhibition, we demonstrate a prototype system of 'Virtual Federated Sensor Network Platform', which can run a specific overlay network module for a specific sensor information service to construct a distributed and wide-area sensor network. The prototype system utilizes Virtual Wireless Access Point and each service can use its own isolated physical computing resource. The virtualized access point accommodates wireless sensor network and provides functions for sensor data aggregation and scalable data discoveries and deliveries. It also provides ability to exchange sensor data between different wide-area sensor networks to enable low-cost expansion of sensing area, emergency cross-network data sharing for disasters.

E6. FUJITSU: Telecom network management solutions

Booth number: 6

Fujitsu, known as its leading solutions with rich variety of network equipment, operation support systems (OSSs) and professional services for telecom networks, introduces the popular Proactnes II series, SSPF for M2M networks and the cutting edge frameworks for our OSSs.

 - Proactnes II enables to visualize and analyze the quality of services over networks as well as smoothly administer large networks, thereby helping network services providers to deliver high-quality services. Proactnes II is designed with all-IP netr-generation networks in mind. It helps to improve the quality of services delivered over the network while providing a network services management solution for more efficient network management.

 - Smart Sensing PlatForm (SSPF) is facilitating the development of a market for new services that can provide comfortable living spaces through the optimal control of home appliances, housing facilities, and energy devices. SSPF provides maintenance services tailored to individual customer needs and also user-oriented marketing services through simple operations for remotely managed devices.

 - Stylized OSS framework improves its quality, cost, and speed to develop OSSs. This framework will stylize the development process, business application, and development environment. This makes the architecture as an integration of the small, high-independent modules, and changes the structure to easy-to-maintain, unnecessary-module-removable structure.

E9. TCINET: COMS (Cabling Operation & Management System)

Booth number: 9

COMS(Cabling Operation & Management System) for Networking in Data Center, delivers Intelligent network cabling system you need to help the real time monitoring the network cabling with the MAC(Move Add Change) and seek about the cost and time efficiency . Whenever the cabling system has fault at the each port, you can control and check the configuration of the cable and the installation of the cable. For the management of the property in cabling, you can minimize the overhead of the management the port being used and any unused the port, and can protect the loss of port at MAC(Move Add Change) in cabling. Also, for the security of the cabling system, you can check the hacking in external and internal users. COMS in interoperability with the existing cabling system can be installed regardless of the existing makers inexpensively during the additional cabling work. There are the following special advantages at the deployment; the reusability (100%) of the existing systems, the confirming of the connection through the patch panel LCD, the accuracy and security of the changed patch, the virtualization of the physical connection, the management of the centralized on the configuration in the networking, and the appliance of the green IT through the unused power-off.
