The deployment of next-generation networks (NGN) and the trial of fixed-mobile convergence (FMC) services are in progress. We expect to see more and more FMC and content-based services coming to the market. In addition, emerging technologies like LTE and WiMAX will support wireless broadband services within the next two years. In addition, research in the management and architecture of future Internet(s) is gaining increasing importance. The rapid evolution mentioned above hinges on new network infrastructure, business and service models, and associated management platforms and architectures. APNOMS 2011 will encourage open discussions on technology alternatives that focus on the management and operation of current and future networks and services. APNOMS welcomes submissions based on implementation and experimentation, as well as simulation and analytical approaches. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following items:

Paper Submission:
Both technical and innovation session papers must be submitted online through JEMS at the following URL https://submissoes.sbc.org.br/apnoms2011
Please refer to the APNOMS homepage for detailed paper preparation and submission instructions.
Technical Session:
The APNOMS 2011 proceedings of technical session papers will be published in IEEE Xplore and indexed in EI. Authors are invited to submit complete unpublished papers in English, which are not under review in any other conference or journal. Submission should be in form of a PDF file up to 8 pages, prepared in accordance with IEEE author guidelines (see Manuscript Guidelines page for details). The copyright of accepted papers will be transferred to IEEE. IEEE will own the copyright of each paper.
Innovation Session:
APNOMS 2011 will include innovation sessions to present and discuss ongoing research, work-in-progress ideas, practical solutions, and experimental studies. Authors are requested to submit PDF documents up to 8 pages long in a special format. The sample file can be obtained at http://www.apnoms.org/apnoms-sample.ppt (see Manuscript Guidelines page for details). Innovation papers will be included in conference proceedings but will NOT be indexed by IEEE Xplore.
