INITIAL PAPER SUBMISSION
SIMPLE STEPS
There are 3 items in your submission checklist:
- Make sure you write your paper according to one of the 2 formats below, depending on whether you submit Technical or Innovation paper. Each has a distinct format.
.
- When done writing your paper, register it at JEMS (https://submissoes.sbc.org.br/apnoms2011) by April 22, 2011. If you do not have an account with JEMS, you have to create one. During registration, take a minute to select APNOMS topics which are closest to the contents of your paper. You are encourage to select several topics when applicable. This will help us to provide good quality reviews to your paper.
.
- Upload PDF file of your manuscript. Regardless of the kind of paper and the software you use to make it, the end result should be in form of a PDF file.
TECHNICAL PAPER FORMAT
Technical papers are indexed by IEEE Xplore which has strict format standards.. It is best if you write your manuscript based on of these style files:
NOTE: When using LaTeX, make sure you start with \documentclass[conference]{IEEEtran} which will set the format to IEEE Conference Paper.
NOTE 2: Remember, that you paper cannot exceed 8 double-column pages in the above format.
If you write your paper in MS Word and have no means to convert the file from DOC to PDF, consider using IEEE eXpress service, which takes a variety of formats as input and converts them to PDF.. In fact, accepted papers will have to be validated through this service for successful camera-ready submission.
INNOVATION PAPER FORMAT
Innovation papers are not published in IEEE Xplore and use a simpler format.. Authors should format their manuscript as slide-and-notes presentations. Each page of the manuscript should be split into upper and lower halves, upper half given to a presentation slide and lower half to textual description of the slide. This PPT SAMPLE can be used as example. Remember that PPT files have to be converted to PDF before uploading through JEMS.
Although there is no official page limit to Innovation Papers, one should probably reasonably stay within about 20 pages.
